Swinomish, Washington-based multi-instrumentalist Katherine Paul who performs as Black Belt Eagle Scout releases new single 'Nobody' from upcoming new album The Land, The Water, The Sky. 'Nobody' is a soaring indie rock track that pairs her delicate vocals with triumphant swells of guitar and driving percussion and comes with a beautifully shot video by Diné/Navajo filmmaker Evan Benally Atwood. Paul describes the upcoming record as an ode to her indigenous heritage, she recently had her music featured on the brilliant TV series Reservation Dogs, a show lauded for its landmark representation of Native people and artistry, here she talks about representation in the media: "I didn’t have very many Native role models to look to on TV or the radio. It was within my own community that I found inspiring role models through our elders and our community leaders. With Native representation in music and television slowly growing, I often ask myself where I stand within representation in music and how I want to be seen.” New album The Land, The Water, The Sky is set for release on the 10th of February on Saddle Creek Records. -Toby Evans-Jesra
